They're typically fine with gentle, low-energy play. Short bursts with a wand toy or batting a soft ball work well. My Exotic prefers lounging and watching over chasing, but a few minutes of slow play keeps him happy.

A slow-paced play style matches their low-energy profile almost perfectly. Think of it as a closed-loop feedback system: a few minutes of gentle wand work or a toy mouse they can bat around is sufficient stimulus, then they'll happily decouple to observe the room. Their input-output ratio favors short sessions over prolonged high-velocity hunting simulations.

Slow play works great for them, no need to tire them out with high-energy chases. A lazy feather wand dragged across the floor or a crinkle ball they can swat from a comfy spot is all it takes. Mine gets more excited by a sunbeam on the carpet than a fast-moving laser pointer, so keeping it low-key saves everyone's energy.
