Unless you enjoy watching your cat eat off the floor or sleep with its legs dangling over the edge, yes. Maine Coons are oversized beasts with a certain dignity, and cramming them into standard-sized gear is just cruel-they’ll knock over bowls and spill kibble everywhere like a romantic dinner gone wrong. A giant bed and bowl give them the space to lounge and eat without looking pathetic, which is the least we owe these gentle giants for tolerating our existence.

Downright necessary if you ask me. A standard bowl is like asking a grown man to eat his dinner off a saucer - half the food ends up on the floor and his whiskers get all bent out of shape from rubbing on the edges. Same with beds, a regular one leaves his back legs hanging off the side like a dog on a too-short porch.
