Interactive puzzle toys that challenge their smart little brains work great for keeping a Devon Rex busy without you having to constantly drop what you're doing. Try a treat-dispensing ball or a feather wand on a string that you can tie to a door handle for them to chase solo. Those kinds of games satisfy their need for engagement while giving you a few minutes of peace.

Redirect their need for interaction into games that involve chasing unpredictable movements, like a laser pointer paired with a wand toy that mimics bird or insect flight patterns. A feather teaser dangled from a doorway can also let them stalk and pounce without you holding it, freeing up your hands for a coffee break. Does your cat prefer to be in your lap or just within sight while playing?
