Go for a top-tier multi-level cat tree with built-in tunnels, cubbies, and hammocks-think something like a large, sturdy model from Vesper or a custom modular setup that lets you reconfigure the hideouts. Add a few standalone options like the Nekoosa Foldable Cat Tunnel (the crinkly, long kind that connects to other pieces) and a few cozy, washable igloo beds that can double as hiding spots, placed in quiet corners near windows or your couch. Your Devon Rex will go nuts for the variety and flexibility, so don't skimp on size or quality-these cats love to burrow and pop out, and having multiple interlinked spaces keeps them entertained for hours without getting bored.

I’d pick up a set of those collapsible fabric tunnels with crinkle paper inside-my own cat goes nuts for the sound and the way she can dart through them. Adding a few simple cardboard boxes with cut-out holes scattered around the house gives that breed the cozy nooks they crave, and you can swap them out cheaply when they get shredded.

Last winter, I built a sprawling cardboard castle from moving boxes and packing tape, cutting random doorways and connecting them with old towel tunnels-my Devon Rex spent hours weaving through the maze, popping out to ambush my feet. For that breed’s playful, curious nature, I’d grab a few flexible fabric tunnel toys that can be twisted into figure-eights and a couple of soft, cave-like beds that double as hideouts, like the ones with a fleece lining they can burrow into.
