A quiet corner in a bedroom or a dedicated cat tree in a low-traffic area works best. On the one hand, they really need a consistent spot where people aren't constantly walking by, so maybe a cozy bed tucked inside a closet or under a desk. I've found that a soft, enclosed space-like a covered cat cave or a simple cardboard box with a blanket-helps them feel secure and blocks out most of the household commotion.

Placing a plush bed on top of a tall cat tree in a spare room or home office gives them a high vantage point where they feel safe and removed from the daily commotion.
