You’re overthinking it-the blanket goes wherever the cat decides it goes, not where you think it should stay. If you try to keep it in one spot, the Devon Rex will drag it to their preferred napping corner, usually near a heat source or on your bed. Let them claim it; moving it just annoys them and starts a pointless tug-of-war.

Every wise cat owner learns that a blanket belongs where the cat feels safest, not where it looks neatest. A Devon Rex values warmth and familiarity above all else, so that blanket will naturally migrate to the sunniest windowsill or the spot on the couch you sit in most often. Trying to anchor it in one place is like trying to keep a leaf from blowing in the wind-you’ll just tire yourself out. Let the cat be the compass, and the blanket will find its true home.

Positioning it on the highest perch in your living room, like a cat tree top or a shelf near a radiator, taps into their love for vertical territory and warmth-two things a Devon Rex can’t resist. Marketing this as their VIP lounge spot makes them feel like royalty, and they’ll guard that blanket with their life, keeping it clean and off your floors.

Just leave it crumpled on the warmest spot on the sofa or the end of your bed. It’s a losing battle trying to keep it tidy because that little monster will drag it to wherever they feel like curling up, usually right on top of your laptop or the clean laundry you just folded. Save yourself the frustration and let the blanket be a permanent lump of warmth they can burrow into.
