You're dealing with a cat that hates being shut out from exploring or being near you. Ragdolls are clingy by nature and closing a door blocks their access to you or a room they consider part of their territory. It's just them protesting the sudden loss of control over their space. Try leaving doors open or using a pet gate if you need a barrier-they'll calm down once they feel included again.
