Jeffrey Epstein’s Musical Preferences

The public Spotify account of financier Jeffrey Epstein contained 19 playlists created between 2011 and 2015, revealing unexpectedly diverse musical tastes. The account was discovered by Business Insider journalists while examining his correspondence with Florida probation officers.

Top Artists by Track Count

Epstein’s music library showed a clear preference for jazz and classical music:

  1. Oscar Peterson — 188 songs (the jazz pianist and his group held first place)
  2. Ludwig van Beethoven — 130 compositions
  3. Celine Dion — 108 tracks
  4. Elton John — featured in top 10
  5. Billy Joel — frequent choice
  6. Bob Dylan — present in several playlists
  7. Beach Boys — American rock classics
  8. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky — Russian classical composer
  9. David Guetta — contemporary electronic music
  10. The Yesteryears — Beatles cover band

Thematic Playlists for Travel

Epstein created specialized playlists for his private flights. Two playlists — “paris flight” and “paris_return” — were named after trips to and from Paris, where he owned an apartment.

“Paris flight” included 1970s hard rock classics: Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, The Who, and The Doors. “Paris_return” focused on blues and jazz, creating a contrasting mood for the return journey.

Genre Diversity: From Gospel to Pitbull

The playlists demonstrated an extremely wide range of genres:

  • Classical music — separate playlists dedicated to Beethoven and Tchaikovsky
  • Jazz — dominated by Oscar Peterson with 188 tracks
  • Broadway musicals — theatrical compositions
  • 1970s hard rock — Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Aerosmith
  • Pop music — Celine Dion, Elton John, Michael Jackson
  • Electronic music — David Guetta, Pitbull
  • Blues — Eric Clapton “Before You Accuse Me”
  • Gospel — Christian singer Morris Chapman “Falling in Love with Jesus”
  • Comedy — Louis C.K. album “Hilarious”

Controversial Tracks in Collection

Among the compositions were several questionable choices: Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” (a song about sexual attraction to a teacher) and Oscar Peterson’s performance of “My Heart Belongs to Daddy”. Analysts noted a preference for 1970s hard rock songs emphasizing male sexual dominance.

“Celina” Playlist: Mysterious Dedication

One playlist was titled “celina” and was created in 2011, consisting mainly of David Guetta tracks. Epstein was publicly connected to two women named Celina: Norwegian businesswoman Celina Midelfart (who flew on his plane in 1996-1997) and 24-year-old Celina Dubin, whom four sources described as his goddaughter.

Social Media and Music Platforms

Besides Spotify, Epstein had accounts on Twitter and Pinterest. His Twitter profile remained inactive — he never tweeted and followed no one. On Pinterest, he had one board with eight images of home decor, including a Peter Pan painting.

Jeffrey Epstein’s public Spotify account represents a unique digital footprint, demonstrating eclectic musical tastes — from jazz virtuoso Oscar Peterson to contemporary electronic music. The 19 playlists containing hundreds of tracks from different eras and genres were created over four years and reflected both refined preferences in classical music and interest in popular culture.
