Sometimes I find a station that feels ignored, and I want it to appear on Radio Garden. The process isn’t overly smooth, but it works well enough once you know where to click and what to prepare.
What You Need Before Starting
You should have a stable stream URL that actually plays in a normal media player. Also keep the station name, city, country, and coordinates ready. Once I mixed up coordinates and had to redo everything, so it’s better to check them ahead of time.
Using the Submission Form
Radio Garden keeps a submission form on their support or contact page. It has only a few fields. Fill in the basic info and the working stream link. The form accepts minor mistakes, so don’t stress if a word slips strangely.
Checking the Stream Link
Some links don’t work with Radio Garden. If they skip your submission or contact you later, it usually means the stream wasn’t compatible. You can ask the station owner for a different format if needed. It’s nothing dramatic, just another small hurdle.
Waiting for the Review
After sending the form, you wait. Sometimes your station appears in a couple of days, sometimes more. They review submissions manually, so delay doesn’t mean rejection.
Updating an Existing Station
If the station is already on the map but wrong or outdated, you can use the same form to request changes. You can adjust location info, change the stream, or fix a name. Supplying precise details helps keep their map tidy.
Adding a station to Radio Garden gives a small sense of contribution. A few minutes with the form, a decent stream link, and your station can reach more listeners. Even with small quirks in the process, it’s manageable.
