Personality matters more than breed. Russian Blues are reserved and Siamese are vocal, but both are intelligent and loyal. I've seen pairs like this bond through mutual respect - the Siamese does the talking while the Blue observes calmly. Give them separate spaces, let them adjust at their own pace, and they'll likely find their rhythm.

Temperament clash is overblown in my experience. I've had a Siamese that yowled like a foghorn and a Russian Blue that barely meowed, and they curled up together on the same chair within a week. The key is letting the quiet one set the pace - don't force interactions, just let them sniff under the door first. The talker will eventually learn when to pipe down, and the whisperer will warm up once they feel safe.

Start with individual introductions on neutral ground. I've seen this exact pairing work beautifully when both cats have their own safe zones. The Siamese will chatter away, but the Russian Blue usually appreciates having a confident companion who signals safety. Just make sure the quiet one has plenty of high perches to retreat to when the speeches get too long.
