From my experience with American Curls, they tend to be gentle and adaptable, especially with kids who know how to handle cats respectfully. I've seen them stay calm in busy households, more likely to seek a lap than start trouble.

Watching an American Curl with children feels like observing a quiet philosopher among playful chaos. They possess a serene curiosity, often choosing to observe from a soft distance rather than engage in frantic energy. Their temperament leans toward gentle patience, making them more inclined to tolerate a child's clumsy affection than to instigate roughhousing.

They rarely scratch or hiss even when a toddler pulls their tail, which says a lot about their built-in tolerance. I had one who would sit still while my niece draped doll clothes over her, only walking away when she got bored herself.
