It will find the next warmest patch of carpet or a sunbeam shifted slightly to the side. My own Himalayan, Jasper, curls up on the radiator cover or a folded laundry pile if the window seat is taken.

I gently scoop mine up and settle into my own lap, purring like a tiny motor. My cat Pearl will choose a soft fleece blanket on the armchair or even a cardboard box near the radiator if the prime spot is taken.

Try draping a heated throw on a nearby chair - my Himalayan, Mochi, instantly claimed it over the floor spot. They're practical about warmth, so a cozy bed or even a patch of carpet near a heating vent becomes the backup throne.
