From my experience with Singapuras, they always pick the warmest spot available. I've seen mine curl up on the router first, since it gives off steady heat, then move to my lap if I'm sitting still. The laundry pile is a backup, but they seem to prefer surfaces that stay consistently warm rather than just soft.

Laundry pile wins every time in my house. My Singapura loves burrowing into the fresh warm clothes straight from the dryer, especially if they're still a bit toasty. The router gets ignored unless the laundry is cold, and my lap is only a second choice when I'm wrapped in a blanket.

A warm lap beats all other options for my Singapura, hands down. She'll knead and settle right on my thighs the second I sit still, especially if I'm wearing fleece or a thick sweater. The router gets a brief inspection, but the consistent body heat and the chance to be right in my face during work hours always win out over laundry or electronics.

Mine treats the laundry pile like a personal nest, burying herself so deep only her tail pokes out. The router's heat is too steady for her - she craves the soft, shifting warmth of fabrics that smell like us.
