I’d put the cat tree by a window that faces a busy spot in your home, like the living room or kitchen. Scottish Folds are curious little observers, and mine loves perching where he can see me moving around. Just make sure the tree is stable and near a sunny patch - he’ll nap there too.

Setting it up near a hallway or the entrance to a room is perfect - your Fold will love tracking everyone coming and going. I’ve got mine positioned so it faces the kitchen and front door area, and my little buddy spends hours just peeking around corners. Pick a spot with a clear sightline but not too much foot traffic so they feel secure while observing.

By the corner of the sofa, facing the main traffic flow of the room-like where the hallway meets the living area. My Scottish Fold spends half his evening perched there, chin resting on the top platform, just watching me move between the kitchen and couch. It gives him a clear view without feeling exposed, and he can hop down for a cuddle whenever he wants.

Place it near the edge of a busy hallway or right beside the kitchen island, where the traffic flows but doesn’t crowd him. My own Fold, old Jasper, took to a corner spot by the dining table - he could watch me chop veggies and greet guests without being underfoot. A wise cat once told me, “Observation from a safe distance keeps the whiskers clean.” That spot gives him the best view of life’s parade.
