Keep things low and sturdy - those big cats love to jump but in a small space you want solid cat trees or shelves that won't tip over. I'd put a tall scratching post near a window so they can watch birds, and make sure the litter box is tucked away in a corner where they won't feel trapped. Forget those fancy electronic toys and just leave a cardboard box or a paper bag on the floor - mine prefers that over anything from a store.

I just got my first Maine Coon and honestly had no idea what I was doing with the furniture. I ended up clearing a low shelf near the window so he can stretch out and watch the street, and I put his scratching post right next to the couch to save floor space. Still figuring it out, but he seems happy just squeezing into tiny spots I didn't think he'd fit.

Vertical space is your best friend here - I mounted a few sturdy shelves at different heights on one wall so my giant fluffball can climb and survey his kingdom without taking up floor space. But honestly, I’m starting to think that’s a dumb idea because now he just sits on the highest one and ignores the rest, preferring to sprawl across my only armchair instead.
