Absolutely, they do. I’ve seen plenty of British Shorthairs absolutely love a good tunnel - it taps right into that natural instinct to stalk and pounce, and they’re not as lazy as people think. My own cat spends hours diving in and out, especially if I rustle a toy at one end. Just make sure it’s wide enough for their sturdy build, and you’ll likely see them using it as a cozy hideout too.

In my experience, a cat tunnel is way more engaging than a plain cardboard box for a British Shorthair-they love the unpredictability of darting through it rather than just sitting still. My own guy gets a kick out of treating it like a mini obstacle course, especially when I crinkle the fabric ends to mimic prey sounds. Compared to a static scratching post, the tunnel offers a hide-and-seek thrill that keeps him entertained for longer bursts.
