Absolutely, because Sphynx cats get cold easily due to their lack of fur. A covered bed traps body heat and gives them a cozy, den-like space to curl up in, which they naturally love for security and warmth.

Since they lack fur to retain heat, a covered bed acts like a little insulated cave, keeping their body warmth close and preventing drafts from hitting their bare skin. I actually sewed a fleece lining into the top of my Sphynx’s igloo-style bed so she can press her face against the soft fabric and tuck her paws under the rim, which she does for hours without shifting.

Totally, but not just for warmth - my Sphynx actually prefers a covered bed because it blocks out light and noise, making it easier for her to crash during the day when I'm moving around. I got one with a removable top so I can wash it, and she digs the privacy more than the heat half the time. Actually, I noticed she sleeps longer in it than in open beds, less twitchy too.

Training a Sphynx to use a covered bed is like setting up a recovery zone after a hard workout - they need that dark, enclosed space to fully relax and recharge. My own girl treats her covered bed like a gym locker, a private spot where she can shut out the world and nap without distractions, which helps her stay calm and balanced during the rest of her day. It's not just about warmth, it's about creating a consistent routine that boosts her overall mood and energy levels.
