Devon Rex cats love warmth and climbing, so a hammock near a sunny window is perfect for their heat-seeking antics. Soft beds are fine too, but these little gremlins will probably end up on your laptop or in your laundry pile anyway-hammocks save floor space and give them a prime perch for judging you.

Both have merits, but a hammock is the smarter pick for a Devon Rex because their short, fine coat makes them sensitive to drafts and cold surfaces. Hammocks suspend them in warm air, which they adore, and they also cater to their mischievous love of perching high up to survey the room. Soft beds can trap body heat too, but they often end up ignored in favor of your own pillow or a sunbeam, whereas a hammock's novelty and vertical position holds their attention longer. Just make sure the hammock is in a draft-free spot, not a window, or they'll freeze.
