Totally. In my experience with Abys, they absolutely thrive on daily interactive play. They’re super energetic and curious, so without that outlet, they can get bored and even a bit destructive. I’ve seen mine get way more relaxed and affectionate after a good session with a wand toy or a puzzle feeder.

Depends entirely on the individual cat's personality and energy level, but most Abyssinians I've met seem to need that structured play to stay content. Without it, they tend to get restless and find their own mischief, like scaling curtains or batting things off shelves. I'd say it's less about happiness and more about preventing boredom-driven chaos in your home.

From my experience with Abyssinians, interactive play is practically a non-negotiable for their wellbeing. They’re not the type to lounge around all day - without that structured engagement, they’ll channel their energy into rearranging your belongings or climbing the curtains. I’ve found that a quick 15-minute session with a laser pointer or feather wand keeps them balanced and less prone to that hyperactive frenzy later.
