I completely understand your concern about keeping your Sphynx comfortable. Yes, they should have access to sunny spots, but with caution. Their lack of fur makes them prone to both getting cold and overheating, so a sunny window or a warm patch of floor is perfect for short periods, but always make sure there’s shade nearby so they can move away if they get too warm.

A cat without fur is like a kettle without a lid-it warms up fast but cools down just as quick. Letting a Sphynx bask in a sunny patch is fine as long as you give them the choice to move when they’ve had enough. I’ve seen mine stretch out like a happy lizard, then toddle off to a cool corner when the heat gets too much. It’s all about balance, not a strict rule.

Letting a Sphynx nap in a sunny spot is one of their favorite things, honestly. I let my little guy soak up the warmth whenever he wants, but I always keep an eye on the clock - they can get too toasty since they have no fur to regulate it. A short basking session is pure bliss for them, but I make sure there’s a cool hideaway nearby so they can move when they’ve had enough.
