Physical warmth is the main reason - your body heat is a goldmine for a Sphynx since they have no fur to regulate temperature. Instead of buying a heated bed, try placing a microwavable heat pad under a blanket near you, which might satisfy that need without you becoming a permanent mattress. It’s also a trust thing - they’re claiming you as their personal space heater and security blanket, so lean into it by wearing an old hoodie inside out for a few hours, then leaving it on their favorite spot to mix scents when you’re away.

They basically view you as a living, breathing heating pad and security blanket combined. Sphynx cats have zero fur to regulate their body temp, so they're constantly seeking out warm spots, and your body is the ultimate source. Also, your heartbeat and breathing are like a lullaby to them - it's pure comfort and bonding. Just don't expect personal space ever again. Actually, I've noticed mine does this even more when the house gets a little chilly at night, so maybe check your thermostat too.

Physical contact helps them feel secure and part of a social group - it's basically their way of saying "you're my colony." Since they lack fur, they rely on your body for warmth, but there's also a psychological comfort aspect. Maybe they just like your scent or the rhythm of your breathing. You could try offering a soft, heated cat cave nearby as an alternative, but honestly, some cats just prefer the real thing.
